Intergraph Corporation to Acquire UltraGraph Technologies

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – June 20, 2016 - Intergraph Corporation and UltraGraph Technologies have announced they will combine the services of two leading graphic arts distributors in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America, under the Intergraph Corporate structure. Intergraph will acquire Ultragraph so all future sales will be invoiced by Intergraph.

Tony Pardo and Diana Hinostroza will continue in their present positions under the Intergraph banner. All technical services will continue to be provided by a team that includes Felix Falcon, Edgar Coraij, Carlos Gomez, and Carlos Laya. The benefits to customers will include, additional supplies and infrastructure, more technical support, and expanded payment options, including all major credit cards, as well as wire transfers currently being accepted by UltraGraph.

CRON-ECRM Joint Venture Declares Bid for Leadership in CTP

Compared with, say, high-speed inkjet printing or hybrid output on long perfectors, offset platemaking isn’t the most glamorous of production processes. But, as long as offset lithography continues to represent more than half of all the printing currently being done, imaging plates in computer-to-plate (CTP) devices will more than make up in sheer business volume whatever it may lack in technical flair.

Mike Xiang, a CTP technologist and entrepreneur, had this fact firmly in mind when he started Hangzhou CRON Machinery & Electronics Ltd. in China in 1992. The company’s motto, “Another Day, Another Dream,” reflects his pledge to make CRON a world leader among CTP vendors—an ambition Xiang is pursuing in North America with the help of ECRM Imaging Systems, a Massachusetts-based company with deep roots in the U.S. platesetting market.

The joint venture, announced last September, is called CRON-ECRM, and it aims to unite the Chinese company’s technical prowess with the Massachusetts firm’s well established reputation and reach among U.S. users of CTP systems.
